SOE's commitment to service means sharing research-based knowledge with leaders at all levels. SOE has offered consultation services to several departments at national, provincial and local levels, such as China Association of Science and Technology, Chinese Society of Higher Education, Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education, and etc. The service takes various forms including individual consultation meetings, evaluation reports, and round-table meetings. Since 2005, as the strategic research base of the Ministry of Education, SOE has provided consulting services to the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Education, the Department of Science, Technology and Informatization of the Ministry of Education, Education Development Research Center of the Ministry of Education, the Office of Academic Degrees Committee of State Council and other government departments.
