- Dr. Liyuan CHEN is Associate Professor at School
of Education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She received her Ph.D. in
Education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2015. Her researches
focused on the educational opportunity and choice, international academic
mobility and knowledge production, and organizational change of world-class
universities in the context of globalization. Liyuan’s research has appeared in
numerous top journals including Educational Research, Journal of Higher Education, etc. Her most recent book Knowledge
production and its system change under globalization: The impact of
international academic mobility on the research output (in press) explores
the possibility of change in the core-periphery structure of the global
knowledge production system. Her research has been funded by National Social
Science Foundation of China, University Grants, etc.
