- Prof. LIU has been a member of the SJTU faculty since 1998, during which she held positions at SOE and Office of Strategic Planning. Currently she is the Secretary of SOE CPC Committee and the Director of the Center for Education and Human Development (CEHD). She received her B.A. degree from Shandong Normal University in 1989, master's degree from East China Normal University in 1994 and Ph.D. from Xiamen University in 1998.
Prof. LIU's research focuses on graduate and undergraduate education, engineering education, history of higher education in China. To date, over 100 essays by Prof. LIU have been published in refereed journals, 6 books authored, among which the most recent are “Research on the Structure and Management of the Undergraduate Programs of China” (Beijing Higher Education Press, 2009), “Research on the Fostering Leading Scholars for Achieving the Goal of an Innovative Country” (China Renmin University Press, 2009), “History of University in China” (Shanxi Education Press, 2007). In addition, she has chaired more than 6 state-funded research projects related to policy and practice of higher education and university in China.
