- Dr. Yan Xiaomei graduated from physics department of East China Normal University, obtained M.Sc. in Graduate school of education of Bristol University in UK, and continued PhD studies on scientific argumentation with university centenary scholarship.
After returning to China, Dr. Yan formed the research team in Huayu Education Technology Co., Ltd. and carried out the design-based education research on discipline – specific activities in the smart learning environment. During the postdoctoral period in Beijing Normal University, Dr. Yan participated in multi-level education research projects from micro to macro, and led the research team to conduct systematic research and extensive research on science education and scientific literacy in K-12 stage in China.
