  • Dr. Liu joined the School of Education of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in September 2021, graduated from Fudan University with a PhD in Philosophy of Science and Technology in 2018, and during the postgraduate years, he mainly engaged in research on analytic philosophy, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of science. Later, he joined the Faculty of Education of East China Normal University as a postdoctoral researcher and worked at the Institute of Schooling Reform and Development (Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education), inquiring into philosophy of education and primary education, exploring and conducting special courses (philosophy of children, project-based learning, thinking-based classroom, and philosophy classes for middle school students) in dozens of primary and secondary schools across China. Dr. Liu's idea of research and teaching is "thinking leads learning", which advocates the cultivation of thinking skills to promote the overall development of students and the continuous progress of education.
