  • Shuai Wang, Ph.D., is the Assistant Dean and an Associate Professor at the School of Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China. The overriding goal of Dr. Wang’s research is to develop and evaluate diverse digital teaching and learning approaches, ultimately facilitating educational policy formulation and implementation. As the Assistant Dean at the School of Education of SJTU, he is dedicated to leveraging various local and global resources to provide professional development opportunities to pre- and in-service teachers.


    Throughout his career, Dr. Wang has served as a Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, and senior personnel for many projects funded by U.S. federal grant programs, foundations, and commercial partners. His work has led to many publications in top-tier research journals, presentations at prestigious international conferences, book chapters, and these have resulted in global media coverage, including U.S. National Science Foundation homepage.


    In addition, he has served on the editorial board of the European Journal of Education (SSCI), and has contributed as a reviewer for SCI and SSCI research journals, international conferences, and served on the U.S. National Science Foundation panel for proposal reviews. Currently, he also serves as the chair for Recommended Practices for Evaluation of Adaptive Instructional Systems. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
