  • Dr. Huabing Liu received her PhD degree in Counseling Psychology (APA accredited) from Loyola University Chicago in 2021, her M.S. degree in Counseling and Counselor Education (CACREP accredited) from Indiana University Bloomington in 2016, and her B.S. degree in Psychology from Fudan University in 2013. As a clinical counselor, Dr. Liu worked with children, teenagers and adults with a framework of social justice and multicultural competence. She provided counseling and assessment services at schools, community and family centers and university counseling centers and currently obtained more than 4000 clinical hours. She completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Center for Counseling and Psychological Services in University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Liu published a number of journal papers and conference presentations regarding international students, immigrants and other underprivileged populations. Her research interests include acculturation and enculturation, student mental health, LGBTQ+ populations, trauma-related work, and resilience development, etc.
