Assistant Professor
Chang Lu, Ph.D., is a Lecturer of Educational Big Data and Evaluation in the School of Education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She receives her B.A. and M.A. from Xi’an Jiao Tong University in 2014 and 2017, and Ph.D. Degree from the Program of Measurement, Evaluation, & Data Science, Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2021.
Her research interests include educational data mining & learning analytics, online learning, machine learning and deep learning in education, automated evaluation and feedback system, and computational thinking assessment. She has participated in several national projects including SSHRC IDG, NSERC DG, and CanCode Callysto. She has published articles in journals including International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education, Journal of Computing in Higher Education, IEEE Transactions on Education, Frontiers in Pediatrics: Neonatology, JMIR Serious Games, and Journal of Science Education and Technology.
During her doctorate studies, she was awarded multiple major grants, awards, and scholarships including Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship, Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship, and Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Graduate Students Abroad. She currently serves as the reviewer for International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education, Journal of Computers in Education, NCME, and AERA.
