Dr. CUI Qi is an assistant professor at the School of Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from Auburn University, USA. Then she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, San Diego, USA. Her research focuses on identifying the knowledge and skills that are needed by chemists in academia and non-academia, constructing assessment tools for chemistry education, and exploring the impact of student-centered teaching approaches on student outcomes. Dr. CUI has published papers in JACS Au, Journal of Chemical Education, and other journals in chemistry and chemical education as the first or corresponding author. She also participated in four NSF projects as a core team member. Dr. CUI serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Chemical Education, CBE Life Science Education and other SCI journals.
