On March 25, 2021, the School of Education celebrated graduation for Class of 2021.

Prof. LIU Nian Cai, dean of the School of Education, made a heartwarming goodbye message. He expressed his congratulations to 2021 graduates and also gave some sincere advice on graduates’ careers and lifelong learning plans, encouraging them to work hard, pursue excellence, actively participate in the activities of their alma mater and the school.

Prof. LIU Shaoxue, party secretary of the school, GUAN Hannan, assistant dean of external relations, YU Ge, deputy director of the Office of Academic Affairs and YANG Chen, school guidance counselor, attended the Bon Voyage Graduation Ceremony.

At the ceremony, graduates recalled days at the School of Education. They expressed their gratitude for the small-scale, high-level and international research platform provided by the university and the school as well as the care and support they have received in various aspects. The students said that during the past two and a half years, they had burnt the night oil in study rooms, and sweated in gyms, on basketball courts and soccer fields. Looking back at the previous days, they were filled with happy nostalgic memories. Looking ahead, some graduates will work as volunteer teachers at schools of poverty-stricken villages in the western part of China; some choose to be grassroots civil servants to serve the people wholeheartedly, and some will continue to study and research. Graduates from Class of 2021 also sent their good wishes to the school and the faculty, hoping that the school will have a brighter future.

At the end of the ceremony, Prof. LIU Shaoxue gave students their last class. She pointed out that the small class and elite training model of the school allows them to have more frequent talks with the faculty, which is one of the school's distinctive advantages. In the future, the school will continue to build a high-level, international talent training school and social science research school, which will assist more students to receive high-quality education and research training. Prof. LIU highly praised graduates’ prominence and emphasized that graduates work tirelessly with a rigorous and realistic attitude. She sent her best wishes to the 2021 graduates, hoping that they will constantly remember their alma mater, and start their next journey with love and determination.

We wish the Class of 2021 graduates will be high flyers and achieve their great ambitions. We also hope that all graduates will remember that your alma mater and college will always be your spiritual home, and you are always welcome to come back "home"!
