Welcome New 2022 SOE's Students!

On September 10-11, 2022, When Teacher's Day and Mid-Autumn Festival coincided this year, School of Education (SOE) welcomed the new graduate students to the 2022-2023 fall semester, including academic doctorates, academic masters and professional masters.



Faculty members and students of SOE joined the volunteer team to welcome students. The place for students’ check-in/registration was set up at the SOE’s lobby in Chen Ruiqiu Building, where new students were guided to complete the enrollment work such as signing in, receiving files and checking in.

This year, SOE also prepared a gift package for new students, including SOE custom keychains, USB flash drives, masks, Coke with students’ name, handheld fans, and also a real limited-edition blind boxes of moon cakes with various flavors, like red wine cranberries, raw coconut latte, mashed sweet yam, cheese and chia seeds, soybean milk, coconut pandan, and lychee raspberry yogurt, hoping students could feel and the care and warmth of their “new home during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Despite the scorching heat, volunteers and students were both very enthusiastic and students were especially curious about one of the most exciting times in their life. Every student took a group photo at the school’s lobby to record their beautiful encounter with SJTU and SOE.



On September 13, the instructor YANG Chen firstly introduced SJTU and SOE to the students, and reminded them of unsafe practices from interfering with their educational experience. In the Q&A session, YANG answered students’ question on their future study, research and life. YIN Hao and Yu Ze'an, a professional master of Class 23, then gave guidance on how to select courses and make a reasonable training plan according to the training program.


SOE would like to welcome all new and returning graduate and professional students to the 2022-2023 year! We hope students can take this time to become acclimated with classes and graduate life, while also balancing various life obligations. This year, we are planning many exciting events, from two big international conferences to outdoors activities, and we are sure students won’t want to sit these events out.


So, let the brand new start begin!
