The National Contest of Teaching Skills for Teachers-College Students (2024) was Successfully Held

From September 27th to 30th, theNational Contest of Teaching Skills for Teachers-College Students (2024) was hosted by the School of Education (SOE) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), drawing 498 applicants from 113 colleges and universities nationwide. Ultimately, 252 participants from 106 institutions made it to the finals.


The finals officially kicked off on September 28th. Contestants were organized into 10 groups and 26 batches to enter the competition venue, where they engaged in a teaching skills competition. The final round encompassed various stages, including topic selection, lesson planning, mock lectures, and on-site Q&A sessions. In the prep room, contestants seized the 90-minute window to create multimedia courseware based on randomly assigned topics and prepared their mock lecture content. The competition culminated in the selection of 25 first-prize winners, 50 second and third-prize winners, along with several awards for outstanding teaching design.


This competition serves as a platform where competition and wisdom converge, allowing participants to showcase their talents under the spotlight and share skills with peers. It also builds a bridge between the nurturing of math teachers and educational innovation. This intellectual extravaganza has not only breathed new life into the depth and breadth of math teaching but also provided endless momentum for the thriving development of education.
