Q1: What do you see as your greatest strength in the job search?

My greatest strength is the practical teaching experience I gained through a year-long immersive internship. I completed more than 70 teaching hours, including over 40 lessons for senior high school students and two semesters of enrichment courses. This experience strengthened my classroom teaching skills and deepened my understanding of education. It also made me value teaching demonstrations and feedback, because I believe good teaching grows through practice and reflection.

Q2: Which abilities developed during graduate study helped you most in finding employment?

The most important ability I developed during graduate study was integrating subject knowledge with teaching practice. As an undergraduate student majoring in Chinese Language and Literature, I once believed strong subject knowledge alone was enough for good teaching. However, my studies in education introduced me to theories and approaches such as project-based learning, interdisciplinary teaching, and contextualized lesson design. These experiences helped me realize that effective teaching requires not only expertise, but also thoughtful design and a student-centered approach.

Q3: Which courses, teachers, or activities at the School influenced you the most?

The greatest influence on me was my supervisor, Professor CEN. With her academic rigor and deep concern for students, she guided me in both research and personal growth. She helped me think more clearly, improve my abilities, and reflect on what it truly means to be a good teacher. I also benefited greatly from our monthly research group meetings, which encouraged academic exchange, mutual learning, and a deeper understanding of teaching as a shared process of growth.

Q4: What are your expectations and plans for the future?

In the future, I hope to continue growing as a Chinese language teacher. I want to develop strong professional knowledge and teaching skills, while also staying close to my students and supporting their development. At the same time, I hope to continue exploring and improving my teaching methods, so that I can grow as both a dedicated teacher and a practice-based researcher.
