On November 17, 2022, Shanghai Forum for Education Excellence 2022 (SFEE 2022), organized by School of Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was held online.

The Shanghai Forum for Education Excellence 2022 (SFEE 2022) & The 9th International Conference on World-Class Universities (WCU-9)  will be held online on November 17-18, 2022. 

It is our anticipation that young scholars will be motivated to achieve their aspirations here and boost the development of SOE.

The Shanghai Forum for Education Excellence 2022 (SFEE 2022) & The 9th International Conference on World-Class Universities (WCU-9) hosted by the School of Education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University will be held online on November 17-18, 2022.

Higher education research is coming across countless challenges with regard to its contribution to academic literature, policy-making, and institutional practice. Among these challenges lies a potential crisis that higher education researchers are becoming a shrinking and increasingly marginalized community. Thus, academic and social impacts in this field are declining, with contrast to the hard sciences in particular.

WANG Shuai, Associate Professor from the School of Education (SOE), has published two papers in “Higher Education” and “Journal of Computing in Higher Education”, both of which are top peer-reviewed academic journals covering educational developments.

From March 24th to 26th, Lin Jie, a PhD candidate from the School of Education, attended the 8th International Conference on Education 2022 under the theme “Education in Times of Uncertainty: Preparing for the Future”, consisting of 150 participants from 33 different countries.

As outlined in the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2020, 50% of all employees around the world will need reskilling by 2025. The need to future-proof people’s skills has never been so urgent with the COVID-19 pandemic bringing about unprecedented structural change in many sectors, job transitions and shift to remote working.

U21 Education Innovation Symposium was held online from February 16th to 17th, with the theme of "Teaching for Sustainability", divided into six sessions, including Introduction to Teaching for Sustainability, Teaching Approaches, Faculty Development, and Looking Beyond the Campus: Partnerships for Sustainability. Faculty members from SOE, Dr. Chen Shuhua, and Dr. Yan Xiaomei attended the symposium. 

Headway has been made in research at the School of Education this year, with seven research achievements have been awarded, breaking a record high.

The Eighth International Conference on World-Class Universities was held in October 2019. The conference theme was “World-Class Universities: Global Trends and Institutional Models”.
